Jack Johnson Bamboo Print

Giclée/Digital Printing

What is a Giclée Print?

French for “sprayed ink,” giclées are a sophisticated printmaking process. Usually on inkjet canvas or fine art paper, giclées are often made from photographic images of fine art paintings in order to produce high quality, permanent fine art reproductions. The extra-fine image resolution possible in this inkjet printing process permits retention of a high degree of fine detail from the original fine art image, rendering deeply saturated colors with broad ranges of tonal values.

Acrylic

What is an Acrylic Medium?

Acrylic offers you one of the most dynamic presentations of your imagery. The Giclée prints are face mounted to a clear (1/4 or 1/2 inch thick) acrylic substrate. All prints receive polished edges and can be floated on a recessed mounting bracket or finished with aluminum stand-offs. The quality of the process is amazing and very unique. It looks as though the image is under crystal clear ice.

Bamboo

What is a Bamboo Medium?

Giclée prints are printed directly to the bamboo veneer substrate.

Bamboo is a completely recycleable substrate. Used in combination with archival water-based inks that can procduce a 100% green fine art product. Again, the unique process and appearance of this medium is incredible.
